Bynum Explodes

It has been a up and down yo yo for West Bend 7 Up for the Wisconsin State League.  Some days 7 Up plays like the team that they are capable of and other days they look like they have no business playing State League.  On this night though, West Bend 7 Up defeated Northern Illinois 10-4.  Billy Bynum busted out of the moth balls like a man on a mission.  Bynum's 2 RBI double in the 6th and Grand Slam in the 7th, pulled 7 Up from the ashes and put them up for good.  Bynum's home run cleared the trees in right centerfield, where one local said that was the farthest home run he's seen hit at Harvey Kuenn Field since they stopped using aluminum bats.  Matt Parrent had a strong night as well, with a 2 hits, including a RBI single.  Parrent's most important play came in the top of the 7th when a base hit to left had the runner try and score from second, Parrent's throw was a thing of beauty, dropping the Northern Illinois runner in a bang bang play.  Matt Schubert pitched well again, pumping the strike zone with strikes, and working out of jams early in the game.  Brandon Mantz cleaned up for Schubert on the mound with a 3 strike out 9th for 7 Up.
