7 Up gets "Rubed"

By: Steven Ballman

Looking for momentum after the 2-1 win over Lannon, West Bend 7 Up backed their bags and headed west to the sticks to play in Neosho.  Neosho, one of the Rock River's better teams traditionally, game out and just laid a stomp down on the 7 Up team, that struggled to find any rhythem all day thanks to poor umpiring, cold bats, and continued inability to score runs in scoring postion.

Mike Mueller was the lone bright spot offensively for 7 Up, as his bat and his knee continue to heal up and heat up.  Mike reached base 3 times in 4 atbats including 2 more hits.

On the mound Dylan Hinkley got the start and lasted only 3 innings thanks in large part to the Rock River strikezone by a legendary Rock River schill umpire.

Even though 7 Up was "Rubed" the bats remained cold.  Hopefully they get on track, along with a lineup that actually isn't missing regulars next Friday night when we play our friends from Pewaukee and their stable of healthy arms.
